Alpine Salt Granules are a rock salt sourced from deep within the Austrian Alps within a salt chamber, because of its purity it’s one of the most mineral dense salts around which causes its reddish brown colour. Created over 250 million years ago Alpine salt was harvested as far back as the bronze age and loaded onto merchants caravans to be sold around Europe. It has a strong salty taste and goes well with beef and in particular game meat.
