Alpaca fur slippers are made in Peru from alpacas when they die of natural causes. The beauty of alpaca farming is that globally alpacas are more valuable alive, happy and healthy where they produce an annual “crop” of fleece at shearing so this is ethical fur, an environmentally friendly use of resources which don’t damage the environment. Alpacas were domesticated 6000 years ago and would become sick without regular shearing. We believe in working symbiotically with animals, to love and respect them, if we farm harmoniously they have long and happy lives, and we can protect our planet.
