Known as the “Giant Radish” of Japan, it has been grown in the volcanic soils of the Island of Sakurajima since around 1800 and is still famous in southern Japan for its fine flavour and mammoth size. Weighing in at around 6kg, this has grown up to 45kg and holds the Guinness World Record for the largest daikon! Fine texture and size make this the “King of Daikons”. Up for a challenge? This one is a little trickier to grow, but absolutely worth the extra effort.
